Hello Everyone, Hope your month is going well. I received a note from our Section staff about an ARES® HF net on Wednesday nights. I thought some of you might like to give it a try. Content follows—

Beginning Wednesday, February 13, 2013 there will be a monthly net held on 3860 ± for all ARES members in NTX. This is the first of regularly scheduled nets to be held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 8:30 PM. These will be informational nets whereby issues pertaining to ARES in the NTX Section will be discussed. All ARES members, licensed to operate on 3860, in the NTX Section are encouraged to join in. These nets should last no longer than 30 to 45 minutes. Check ins will be taken at the end of each net.

Presently we have 5 Net Control Stations (NCS) in the NTX Section. They are: Phil Clements, K5PC; Bill Engel, K5DHY; Les Loftin, WD5BYQ: Tim Staley, K5TGS: and Bob Jones, W5BJ. Net control for our monthly nets will be rotated between these 5 stations.
