Last night at our ARES® training was the premiere of the new website. You will want to add www.tecoares.org to your favorites list to keep up with news and information about ARES®, RACES, SKYWARN® and CoCoRaHS. Check out the site and let me hear from you. While it is still under construction (as in we haven’t finished all we see going in it) what you would like to see on it? Thanks to a team of dedicated folks who are working on it: Mike Bernier, Wade Graves, Robert Massey, Moe Knight, and Brad McMillon.

The training session was about Packet communications and set the foundation for our next several sessions as we delve into this application of Radio and messaging. Moe did a great job explaining, demonstrating and sharing his trials and tribulation in bringing the mode back up in his shack in order to share it with us.

Next time (July 24th) we we will have information on Winlink 2000.
